Sweet Mutiny

I was helping out with Sweet Mutiny's portfolio for a wedding expo. I finished shooting in little less than 3 hours. It was kind of a cloudy day and I was starving the entire time but pretty satisfied with some of the photos :)

Still learning!

Corbis project

I work as an intern at the Museum of Art, Washington State University and I recently got assigned to a new project for a photography show which will be happening next fall. Basically, I am writing captions and descriptions for the images the museum picked out from the Corbis collections. Corbis is a corporation in Seattle that has a collection of over 100 million images. It's requiring me to do a lot of research but for the most part, they are actually super interesting reads especially because I am looking for new perspectives of the well known stories along with historic facts. Let's see if we even get to do the audio wheee!

Dessert is always a good idea. Taking a breather before I start with 328805940 hours of homework..maybe I should head out to the library so I don't get distracted at home from tv..bed...food..like now haha

I recently did a photoshoot at a local cupcake/froyo shop Sweet Mutiny. maybe I'll do a post on that pretty soon. Happy monday!

Note to myself

Never forget to appreciate
Remember my priorities
Respect other's feelings, not just mine
Don't assume anything about a person
It's okay to be sad and lonely sometimes
Always look in creative perspectives
Learn to put a book down on week nights
Be patient
Don't settle for anything less than what I deserve/desire
Do what I love
Take it easy.

King Tut in Seattle

Last minute King Tut Exhibit with mom. I don't know why I waited so long to go watch this but I finally made it to the show and it was amazing! I had to memorize treasures' characteristics, purpose, materials, blah blah blah from the architecture class I took in Korea last summer and in my art history classes, so it really did mean a lot to see the treasures from King Tut's tomb in person. The artifacts are now in the process of going back to their permanent home, Cairo Museum, Egypt. King Tutankhamen was not one of the major figures in Egyptian history, ruling for a short period of time before his death at the age of 19. However, his tomb was probably one of the most astonishing tomb to be found which contained rich culture of royal burial. I was surprised at how well the masks and jewelry were preserved until this time..almost scares me how intense they were with their rituals. I must say my favorite part of the show was Pharaoh Akhenaten's part because his rulings were so comparative to other pharaohs with strict monotheistic religion enforcement and unique style of art. Overall, it was a well worth dealing with traffic and waiting. So glad they extended their hours for the last few days of the exhibition, otherwise we would've missed it :3

Simply Sweet

More about my amazing weekend.. So when girls get together, carb and sugar cravings must be satisfied. :) As if 3 pints of ice cream and nutella wasn't enough, we went to get more sugar.
Everyone should try milky way latte at cafe on the ave near uw. It was so good! I try to stay away from coffee as much as I can but this one is a must.

I love April's Santee obsession

Catching up with homework with these cuties. Is it time for lunch yet?

Peeking into our outfit for the night.

Wandering, but not lost. Feeling groovy today

IT'S WHITE EVERYWHERE

So the holiday season is over, but snowing starts now. It's still snowing non stop here so I'm just getting ready for negative degree weather by pulling out my cozy socks, big fat scarves, and fluffy sweaters. I also did some purchases on winter gears online after realizing I left a lot of stuff at my parents. How do you get ready for cold weather?

STAY WARM

Staying in warm and cozy today. Spent most of my day organizing some winter clothes and writing my first paper of the semester for the seminar happening next week. It's been snowing a lot here..hope it doesn't melt away too soon :3

BUBBL'IN AROUND

These photos are from May of last year. Meesha was still a kitten and didn't have as much flame point markings (her vet thinks she's a flame point siamese). I picked up a bubble maker for Meesha and she was actually scared of the bubbles until she figured out they weren't going to hurt her. Watching her pop the bubbles with her paws and nose was the cutest thing! Maybe I should pick up another one sometime soon since she doesn't play with any of her toys anymore. People think it's funny to see cats on leash and I think the same but surprisingly, some cats love it. But that's not the case for Meesha since she hates going outside and does't like to exercise. Hopefully she'll become more active now that I have more time to play with her :3
